Proudly serving the community with emergency services since 1961
Help for today...hope for tomorrow is the essence of what the House of Neighborly Service has provided to low-income individuals and families in Southern Larimer County for 49 years! HNS was established in 1961 by the local pastors of Loveland to be a central place they could refer people, where there would be ample resources and accountability. HNS still remains a networking service with churches, other agencies and community members to ensure that those who truly are in need are being helped.
The agency's mission is to compassionately address and respond to the effects of poverty, while helping prevent further crisis and to empower those we serve to become more self-sustaining.
Every effort is made to provide encouragement and vital tools for personal and situational improvement through HNS services and client responsibility, guidance, educational classes, and referrals to other resources .
In 2009, HNS provided over 41,000 services to 21,032 people.
