Providing a safety net!

Approximately 50 percent of HNS clients are school-aged children, 27 % are senior citizens and disabled individuals. Each day we witness heartbreaking stories including mothers and fathers who are unable to provide basic necessities for their children; or seniors living on small fixed incomes deciding between buying medications or food; or individuals in crisis due to job loss, illness, homelessness, insufficient living wages, or other unforseen circumstances.
HNS provides a safety net for these households, preventing a more severe downward spiral. Our mission is to alleviate the effects that poverty can have on people through supportive services, referrals and education opportunities that assist them back to a place of self-sufficiency.
