House of Neighborly Service | Help for Today… Hope for Tomorrow

Emergency and Basic Needs Assistance

for low-income families and individuals facing crisis situations.

House of Neighborly Service believes strongly in providing stability and a sense of tradition for children.

When you think of the numbers of clients HNS serves, remember that a great number of them are the minor children in these households.  It is a high priority for our programs to serve the needs of the children in our community who have special needs, whether they be emotional or physical.

Obviously HNS food baskets are designed to provide nutritious foods for adults and children, the clothing program is stocked with donated clothing and shoes for children, and we focus on their special needs throughout the year:

  • Gift Certificates for school readiness-July
  • Holiday food baskets and gifts-Christmas
  • Birthday Closet-Parents can choose appropriate toys and party items in the month of the child’s birthday
  • Childcare is offered for certain programs
  • The Life Center Gym/Community Room will soon be open.  We will host and provide many children’s and youth activities-ask how you can help.

Change Someone's Life

By helping us to be better neighbors

Our mission is to provide “help for today and hope for tomorrow” as we directly impact the living conditions for low-income and impoverished residents, as well as a hand-up approach to those who have found themselves in a financial or situational crisis.

There are so many ways you can get involved with House of Neighborly Service. We are looking for people just like you to give their time, talent, and treasure. Volunteer opportunities are available at HNS, Angel House, and 137 Homeless Connection.

House of Neighborly Service has created a new initiative in serving through the Life Center-1511 E 11th St, Loveland. We share space with 16 other non-profits. Generous support from people in our community just like you keep House of Neighborly Service programs running with excellence.
